The capital’s civic programme follows the calendar: Capital Day, Nauryz, the winter celebrations on the squares and along the Esil embankment. In between sit shows, stand-up, fairs and family formats in the exhibition and shopping centres.
Street events are free, but their paid parts — stands, fan zones, ticketed enclosures — are sold separately and capped by capacity. In winter almost everything moves indoors, which is worth weighing when you pick a date.
